Ode to Frank Morris of Nashville –
Adopted son of Ulster
The sons of Ulster scattered wide
Some crossed the Atlantic’s foaming tide
And landed on the Canadian side
In far off Manitoba
Their diligence was true and tried
Inborn workrate was their pride
Opportunity to progress denied
They pilgrimed to America
Lurgan’s loss saw Thomas plucky
From Winnepeg down to Kentucky
And there it was found life lucky
On the farm of Mr. Morris
Ulster’s descendant’s staunch and true
Their blood still runs Orange and Blue
They remain a very loyal crew
The descendant sons of Ulster
The Frank we know is proud to be
A citizen of Tennessee
July the twelfth retired will be
A rising son of Ulster!!!!
